Error description

  • A Spring Boot application which relies on configuration in
server.xml is deployed to a Liberty JVMSERVER.  A problem with
the configuration causes the application to fail to start.  The
CICS Bundlepart hangs in enabling state.

A Spring Boot application is deployed to a Liberty JVMSERVER.
The application relies upon JDBC Type 4 configuration specified
in server.xml.  In the reported problem an incorrect user ID and
password were specified which prevented the application from
starting.

Messages FFDC1015I and CWWKZ0012I were issued to indicate that
Liberty had captured FFDC and the application was not started.

The CICS bundlepart for this application hung in enabling
state.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • CICS has been updated to disable a bundlepart if a
WebAppInitializationCollaborator stopping event occurs.
