Error description
db2ddf d18787 The pppvvrrm format of the PRDID values for Db2 for z/OS identify the version, release, and a modification level of Db2 in various contexts. Specifically, the modification level (m) portion of the PRDID value is used in Db2 13 for z/OS and later does not accurately reflect the DRDA level of the Db2 for z/OS server, which corresponds to a specific function level in Db2 13 for z/OS and later.

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * All Distributed Data Facility (DDF) users. * * Db2 13 for z/OS. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * Db2 for z/OS product identifier * * update. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Db2 for z/OS product identifier (PRDID) update. The pppvvrrm format PRDID values for Db2 for z/OS identify the version, release, and a modification level of Db2 in various contexts. As described in the Product identifier (PRDID) values in Db2 for z/OS online product documentation, the pppvvrrm value has the following parts: - ppp = identifies the product, such as `DSN` for Db2 for z/OS - vv = identifies the version, such as `13` for Db2 13 - rr = identifies the release, which is usually 01 for Db2 - m = identifies the modification level In Db2 12 and earlier releases, the pppvvrrm format PRDID values indicated only a range of function levels which roughly corresponded to the conversion mode (CM) and new-function mode (NFM) migration modes from Db2 11 and earlier releases: DSN13010 = V13R1M100 DSN13015 = V13R1M500 or higher However, the migration modes such as CM and NFM are obsolete concepts, which are generally not used in Db2 12 or later, and these concepts should not be carried forward in Db2 13.

Comments
Db2 13 for z/OS changes the modification level (m) portion of the PRDID value in Db2 13 and later, so that it accurately reflects the DRDA level of the Db2 data server, which corresponds to a specific function level in Db2 13 and later. For example, DSN13010 = V13R1M100 DSN13011 = V13R1M500 DSN13012 = V13R1M501 DSN13013 = V13R1M502 DSN13014 = V13R1M503 DSN13015 = V13R1M504 DSN13016 = V13R1M505 DSN13017 = V13R1M506 DSN13018 = V13R1M507 DSN13019 = V13R1M508 DSN1301A = V13R1M509 DSN1301B = V13R1M510 DSN1301C = V13R1M511 DSN1301D = V13R1M512 DSN1301E = V13R1M513 DSN1301F = V13R1M514 The PRDID value descriptions will be updated appropriately in the Db2 13 online product documentation. ×**** PE23/01/12 FIX IN ERROR.
