Error description

  • An unexpected error DSQ14118 'LOB column length exceeds
the maximum set by DSQEC_LOB_COLMAX.' can appear when
using the MAX PF8 or BOTTOM command to go to the end
of a report containing LOB data. QMF global variable
DSQEC_LOB_RETRV is set to 1. Using PF8 FORWARD and
paging through the report works successfully. This is
the QMF 13.1 fix for QMF 12.1 APAR PH45061.

Unexpected DSQ14118 while scrolling through report with LOB data

Problem conclusion

  • QMF module DSQFQDRM was incorrectly trying to display LOB
data when running the BOTTOM and PF8 (FORWARD MAX) commands.
This was happening with DSQEC_LOB_RETRV set to 1 and the
LOB edit code set to 'M'. The module has been fixed.

This is the QMF 13.1 version of the QMF 12.1 APAR PH45061.
