PH46381: UNNECESSARY TAKING A RL0002 SYSTEM DUMP WHEN A BUNDLE FAILS TO BE RECREATED.

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This fix will change CICS to avoid
  taking an unnecessary RL0002 system
  dump when a bundle fails to be recreated.
  A CICS TS 5.5 region was performing a warm
  restart and attempts to recreate a previously
  installed bundle that someone has removed
  previously.  So CICS correctly reports it failed
  to recreate the first of the bundle resources
  with msgs:
  
  DFHRL0116 E CICSABCD The CICS resource lifecycle
  bundle class failed to re-create the BUNDLE
  resource MSGEVNT because the manifest
  /u3/cabcd/Messages_1.0.0/META-INF/cics.xml
  specified in the bundle was not found.
  
  Then despite correctly reporting that not found,
  CICS then attempts and reports it cannot create
  the bundle resource again. In this customers case
  there were two events in the bundle called:
  
    All_To_TDQ
    TDQ
  
  The msgs seen were:
  DFHRL0118 E CICSABCD The CICS resource lifecycle
  bundle class has failed to re-create the BUNDLE
  resource MSGEVNT
  
  DFHRL0122 E CICSABCD The CICS resource lifecycle
  manager failed to re-create the resource All_To_TDQ
  for BUNDLE resource MSGEVNT
  
  DFHRL0122 E CICSABCD The CICS resource lifecycle
  manager failed to re-create the resource TDQ for
  BUNDLE resource MSGEVNT

  CICS is performing a warm start and attempts to recreate a
  previously installed bundle. The manifest specified in the
  bundle cannot be found e.g. it has been moved or deleted.
  
  CICS issues messages DFHRL0116 and DFHRL0118 reporting the
  failure along with message DFHRL0122 and an RL0002 system dump
  for each failing resource.
  
  An IDCAMs listing of the catalog will show records with BUNRLRS
  for each missing resource.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHRLRS has been changed to delete the BUNRLRS resource parts
  and to remove the system dumpcode option from message DFHRL0122.
  
  The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS 5.5 and 5.6 documentation
  for message DFHRL0122 will be amended to remove reference to the
  dump and to state that the resource part is removed from the
  CICS catalog.
