PH46369: CQMMMETX ISSUING CQM1205E WHEN CONDITION IS SELF-CORRECTING EXTERNAL SYMPTOM CODE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During CQM interval processing there can be self-correcting
  CQM1205E messages. Some customers have console automation
  centered around msgid CQM1205E and can take an unnecessary
  action when the CQM1205 is self-correcting. The APAR will change
  the interval processing routine to only issue the CQM1205E when
  the condition is not self-correcting.

  1. AbendU1205 can be issued in cases where the issue was self-
  corrected
  2. Eliminate internal diagnostic entry for CQMMEMTX+230
  3. Close an S0C4 window with STARTUP_DIAGNOSTICS(Y) command
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. Summary records writer, CQMMMETX, is enhanced to ignore
  abending if the record was successfully freed
  2. CQMMEMTX was updating a full-word total getpage count field
  that is no longer in use. Total getpage counts in summary
  records is now a double word field
  3. If start up is not yet complete the CQM command processor,
  CQM#COMM, will wait 20 seconds to call CQM#BCMD to issue the DDX
