Error description

• Db2 AOC:  WSL Editor line command problems with large DDL
  objects greater than 32704 characters
  
  
  When the WSL Editor is used on large DDL objects
  greater than 32704 characters. problems with line commands
  occur:
  
  For example:
   # WSL line command S followed by line commend E does not show
  entire DDL.
  
  
   # Line command D does not delete entire DDL.
  
  
  Miscellaneous usability and debugging concerns have also been
  noted and will be included.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of Db2 Administration Tool for z/OS    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When large DDL object is greater        *
  *                      than 32074 characters, the WSL          *
  *                      Editor line commands 'S' and 'D'        *
  *                      do not Show or Delete the entire        *
  *                      object respectively.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  When a DDL statement is greater than
  32074 characters, the following issues
  occur when using the WSL option:
  
  Issue 1:
  Table display panel ADB2W1S 'Show Work Statement List'
  shows blank lines between the DDL statements.
  
  Issue 2:
  When line command E is used to select a DDL from Table display
  panel ADB2W1S 'Show Work Statement List',
  not all of the DDL statements are shown.
  
  Issue 3:
  When line command D is used to select a DDL from Table
  display panel ADB2W1S 'Show Work Statement List',
  not all of the DDL statements are deleted.
  
  Issue 4:
  When line command D is used to delete a blank line from Table
  display panel ADB2W1S 'Show Work Statement List', the following
  misleading error message text "This is a long stmt" occurs:
  Short Message: Line cmd not allowed
  Long Message: ADB320W Line command is not allowed if Type
  is blank. This is a long stmt.
  
  Issue 5:
  On panel ADB2W1S 'Show Work Statement List', the error message
  'Line cmd not allowed' persists after attempting to blank out
  the D line command entry on a blank line.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problems have been resolved.
