PH45540: CONVERTED WSL FILE IS NOT CREATED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using the parameter 'action_convert_to_read_wsl' to convert
  the work statement list (in ISPF table format) into a 'normal'
  FB 80 file directly after it has been created, the converted WSL
   is not created if a TSO user has allocated this file (not even
  the member) in browse-mode. The job ends as always with the same
   return code as before, and there is no indication that there
  were problems with the creation of the member.

  While a data set that is being used for readable WSL output was
  in browse mode,  a CM batch job was issued to put the readable
  WSL JCL data in that data set.  An allocation error occurred,
  as the code needs RW access for readable WSL creation. However,
  the allocation error was not returned to the CM batch job, and
  no error messages were issued.  The CM batch job finished
  without an error return code, but no readable WSL was written.
  Error message ADB9977 should have been issued with a return code
  of 8.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
