PH44897: WHEN RUNNING 11.1 VISUALIZATION REPORT AS PDF FORMAT, ALL JAPANESE TEXT IS GARBLED IN CA 11.1.7 FP2

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When running a 11.1 visualization report as PDF format, all
  Japanese text is garbled in CA 11.1.7 FP2.
  The same issue occurs when output in Excel format, but not in
  HTML format.
  

Local fix

• Set a specific font-family such as ?MS UI Gothic? for each label
  in the visualization. But the font settings are not available
  for some items such as *ANNOTATION* label. We have to add the
  font-family to the report spec directly.

  Configuration Instructions:
  
  Font properties have been added to Bubble and Scatter charts in
  Reporting.
  For charts Bubble and Scatter, on Windows, property "Item labels
  font" needs to be set to font which supports JP characters, e.g.
  MS UI Gothic.
  On Linux e.g. RedHat, installing extra fonts should help e.g.
  yum -y groupinstall Fonts
