PH44072: CICS - SMF FIELD CECMDLID NOT UPDATED IF CEC MODEL IS CHANGED WHILE CICS IS ACTIVE

Error description

• CEC Machine Type and Model information stored in the SMF 110
  record is static as it was at startup time and doesn't change if
  the model number changes.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SMF 110 field CECMDLID not updated      *
  ****************************************************************
  When CICS initialises, it write an SMF 110 record containing
  the CEC Machine Type and Model.  This may present as (eg: from
  running DFH0STAT):
  CEC Machine Type and Model. . :  2964-799
  This field remains constant for the run of CICS.  If additional
  engines are added and this number doesn't change then there
  is the potential to compromise capacity planning activities.

Problem conclusion

• DFHMNST runs when statistics recording is ON at a frequency set
  by the STATITICS INTERVAL value.  When MNST runs it will refresh
  the CECMDLID value and write it as an SMF 110 record.
