    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: UDDI GUI application cannot display *
    * error conditions correctly, instead *
    *                      reporting a                             *
    *                      java.lang.ClassCastException            *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If the UDDI GUI application encounters an error condition, the
    error handling in the application should present the text
    of the error condition to the user. Due to a bug in the error
    handling within the UDDI GUI application, a ClassCastException
    occurred and is reported to the user instead of the original
    error condition.

Problem conclusion

  • The UDDI GUI application error handling was modified so that
    the ClassCastExcepion does not occur and the original error
    message is reported to the user.
