APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • You move a transaction from one TRANGRP to a new TRANGRP. Each
transaction group is associated with a WLMDEF, and those WLMDEFs
associated with a single WLM Group.

When you install the WLM Group, you find that the transaction
you moved from one tran group to another is completely removed
from the workload. A EYUWM0443I message is issued indicating the
transaction is being removed from both tran groups, rather than
removed from one and added to the new one.

Local fix

  • Install the WLM Group a second time.

A previously installed WLM group is altered, such that
transaction groups associated are changed to move a transaction
between these groups. When this WLM group is installed again
after this change, moved transactions may be incorrectly
discarded from the transaction group they were moved to, with
    message EYUWM0443I, e.g. :
EYUWM0443I I date time applid Dynamic transaction (tranname)
discarded from transaction group (trangrpid) in
    CICSplex (context) for workload (workloadid).

This is due to processing in EYU0WMWI, which handles the
install, installing the transaction while processing the TRANGRP
it was removed from and removing it from the incoming list. As
such, when the later TRANGRP is processed, it is identified as
already being installed, but as its no longer on the incoming
list, it is discarded when WMWI reconciles the objects.

Problem conclusion

  • Install processing for WLM Groups, EYU0WMWI, has been corrected
to re-add the dynamic transaction back to the incoming list if
the transaction group it references has yet to have been
    processed.
