Error description

• One of the following error messages is
  received but does not provide any
  information about the return code from
  the registration routine being called:
  
  IGYSI5305-U Failure during SMF registration
  IGYSI5306-U Failure during SMF registration
  
  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  The compiler was generating error messages for errors
  encountered while calling SMF89 registration routine IFAEDREG
  (for COBOL with MLC license) and IFAUSAGE (for COBOL with VUE
  license) but did not include the return code from the routine in
  the message making it difficult to diagnose the problem.

  The compiler was generating error messages for errors
  encountered while calling SMF89 registration routine IFAEDREG
  (for COBOL with MLC license) and IFAUSAGE (for COBOL with VUE
  license) but did not include the return code from the routine in
  the message making it difficult to diagnose the problem.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was updated to include the return code when
  reporting errors from routines IFAEDREG and IFAUSAGE. The new
  error messages are:
  
  IGYSI5305-U SMF registration failure for COBOL VUE license,
              rc=XXXX
  IGYSI5306-U SMF registration failure for COBOL MLC license,
              rc=XXXX
