  • Failed to create Annotation to a project using annotation API
when the ACL is setup for the workspace

Problem summary

  • If ACL (Access Control List) is configured on a Workspace, the
user cannot use any of the endpoints exposed by the Annotations
Rest API
to create an annotation on a project that is included in that
Workspace, because the service didn't provide a mechanism to
allow the user to specify the username and/or domain of the
user,
in order to verify if the user had access or not over the
specific project.

Problem conclusion

  • The endpoints of the Annotations Rest API were updated to allow
the user to specify the username and/or domain associated to the
 respective user, in order to
handle the authorization over resources, in case ACL is
configured on a Workspace. Fix will be included in 6.1.0
release.
