PH40769: RECOVER TABLESPACE GETS MSGDSNU608I DSNUCAIN - USER NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS TABLESPACE

Error description

• Customer executes redirected recovery where they are recovering
  a target table space using the image copy and logs from a source
  table space:
  RECOVER TABLESPACE target-db.target-ts FROM source-db.source-ts.
  The following messages are output:
  *CADB2091 - Internal error - invalid DB2SERV - V 0297.
  DSNU608I DSNUCAIN - USER NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS TABLESPACE

  When redirected recovery is executed, an authorization check
  is done to see if the user has authority to access the data
  in the source table space. In this case, the check was done
  erroneously on a view which led to the issuing of MSGDSNU608I
  USER NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS TABLESPACE db-name.ts-name and
  the RECOVER job ended with RC8. This issue could occur on
  redirected recovery on index spaces or indexes and for an
  ALIAS defined on the source table.

Problem conclusion

• Code in the RECOVER utility has been modified to correctly
  check for authority on the source table. A performance
  improvement may be seen for redirected recovery in the
  UTILINIT phase during the authorization check.
