APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • AdminApplication.AdminApplication.stopApplicationOnCluster will
    throw the following exception if not all cluster members are
    RUNNING. If anyone of the cluster member in stopped state,
    command fails to stop the application on other cluster members.

    Return: If the command is successful, a value of 1 is returned.

    Cluster:TestCluster MBean is not running
    

Local fix

  • As a workaround AdminControl command mentioned below can be used
    to stop the application on active cluster member.
    
    AdminControl.invoke('WebSphere:name=ApplicationManager,process=
    m1,platform=proxy,node=node90,version=9.0.5.7,type=ApplicationM
    anager,mbeanIdentifier=ApplicationManager,cell=cell90,spec=1.0',

Problem conclusion

  • The script is corrected to handle the scenario.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
