  In configuration/bmt.ini:

  The default value is false, which leaves legacy product behavior
  unaffected. Specify true to apply the fix.
  
  Note, FM caches bmt.ini in AppData/Local/VirtualStore/{path to
  FM install}/configuration.
  In order for bmt.ini changes to take effect, the cached version
  must be deleted first. Deleting the cache
  will causing data such as recently opened projects to be lost.
  
  Note that this simply disables the mechanism which checks for
  read/write permissions when FM loads the model.
  If the user does not actually have the write permission to the
  directory then his changes will not save properly despite
  nothing being greyed out.
