Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Z Performance and Capacity  *
  *                 Analytics Version 3.1.0 making use of the    *
  *                 DataImporter.                                *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Errors occur in the ELK reports when    *
  *                      fields in the DB2 table have null       *
  *                      values.                                 *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTFs.                     *
  ****************************************************************
  If a field in the extracted data from DB2 has a null value,
  the DataImporter excludes the field name and field value when
  creating the JSON file.
  
  As a result, the JSON file, produced by the DataImporter,
  may have a different number of the fields than is expected by
  the ELK report.
  
  This causes an error in the ELK report.
  

Problem conclusion

• The DataImporter is modified to set a default value instead of
  null when it outputs the JSON file.
  
  By setting a default value, the JSON file created by
  the DataImporter includes all of the field names and the value
  in each record.
  
  The DataImporter feature forceFields in the process stage is
  an optional function, enabling the user to control the value
  for null fields by setting Yes or No value in the configuration
  file.
