APAR status

Error description

  • In AD v5109 client tried to use rtc2ad script but gets
following
 error: Subcommand "load" does not support option "--allow"

Problem summary


    

  • The RTC command line interface (CLI) scm.exe introduced the
--allow option on the load command starting in version 6.0.3.
The AD RTC integration tool uses this option when loading the
local sandbox. It allows content to be written to be loaded in
multiple sandbox locations.

This means that the tool will fail when running in an
environment where an earlier version of scm.exe is installed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A change was made to the script to first check the version of
scm.exe. If the version is prior to 6.0.3 then the --allow
option is not used, and an alternate method is used to handle
the limitation on using multiple sandbox locations.
