Error description
zUnit preferences edit behavior does not follow Windows convention
Local fix
Problem summary
ZUnit preference page fields (listed below) do not allow keyinputs that cause an invalid value. Those key inputs are ignored. - ZUnit > Playback file > High-level qualifier - ZUnit > Playback file > Primary quantity - ZUnit > Playback file > Secondary quantity - ZUnit > CICS Recording Service > Connection timeout (ms) - ZUnit > CICS Recording Service > Read timeout (ms)
Problem conclusion
Instead of ignoring key inputs, make the preference page invalid state when there is an input that causes invalid value. For example, when user inputs DELETE at the beginning of ZUnit > Playback file > Primary quantity which has the value "10", the value becomes "0" and it is invalid. In this case, the preference page shows an error message "The value entered is invalid, please ensure the value is a positive integer." and disables both "Apply" and "Apply and close" buttons. Until the error is fixed user cannot apply the value or switch to the other pages.
