Error description
MAS region that is not registered to a CMAS workload after change it from an LPAR to another. The registration only happens when customer use COSH/COLM transaction. MAS log the following messages are issued when it is connected to CMAS: EYUCL0012I Connection of XXXXXXX to YYYYYYYY complete. EYUTS0003I Topology Connect for XXXXXXXX Complete - APPLID (XXXXXXXX) CICSplex(ZZZZZZZZ). But messages: EYUNL0160I Workload registration complete. EYUWI0020I WLM Routing initiated for workload(WWWWWWWWW) in Routing Region(XXXXXXXX) are not issued until you use COSH/COLM transaction. It is not the expected behaviour.
Local fix
Use COSH/COLM transaction to complete the Workload registration.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS CPSM users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A MAS is shut down, and restarted. * * During the restart the MAS connects * * to a different CMAS from where it * * was previously connected. * * The MAS does not connect to * * workload manager as a routing region. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the fix and recycle CMASes in any * * order when convenient to implement. * **************************************************************** When a CMAS performs a CPSM CMAS warm restart, it sets all the MASes it knows were previously attached to other CMASes to lost connection status. It does not note if these MASes were stopped prior to the point where the CMAS was shut down. If one of these MASes then restarts and connects directly to this CMAS then WLM restart is not performed, and the MAS does not rejoin the workload. Messages EYUNL0160 and EYUWI0020 are not issued by the MAS: +EYUNL0160I applid Workload registration complete. +EYUWI0020I applid WLM Routing initiated for Workload(workname) in Routing Region(sysname).
Problem conclusion
The CMAS Topology warm restart code in method EYU0TIWS has been modified to test the last known state of MAS systems. This allows the CMAS to detect when a MAS has connected locally having previously been connected to a different CMAS. This allows for WLM restart to function as expected.
