Error description
IBM Developer for Z/OS - IDz - v15 Explorer for z/OS - zExpl - v3.2 After starting IDz and connecting to a z/OS host, if the user right-click a dataset on the Remote Systems view, the Locate option might be listed without the related keyboard shortcut next to it. By default the Locate keyboard shortcut is Ctrl + L , however in this situation hitting the key combination does not bring the Locate window. Also, the user might hear a chime sound when trying the keyboard shortcut. This happens because the keyboard shortcuts depend on context within Eclipse, and in this case the active view is returned as null for some reason, and the related code that registers the context is not hit.
Local fix
Switch to a different view, and then go back to the Remote Systems view, the Ctrl + L should work. For example, opening any PDS member will switch the context to a different view, so Ctrl + L should work normally after that.
Problem summary
After starting IDz and connecting to a z/OS host, if the user right-click a dataset on the Remote Systems view, the Locate option might be listed without the related keyboard shortcut next to it.
Problem conclusion
Switch to a different view, and then go back to the Remote Systems view, the Ctrl + L should work.
