Error description

  • CEMT I FILE request for a recoverable user maintained data table
shows CLOSE REQUESTED even after users are no longer using the
    file.

The problem occurs after a task issues an EXEC CICS WRITE to the
UMDT while the UMDT is still being loaded. The WRITE request
    received a RESPONSE(EXCEPTION) REASON(LOADING).

A dump shows the CLOSE requested flag, FCTDSCRQ is still on.

If an API request is made against a recoverable user maintained
data table (or Coupling Facility Data Table) while it is being
loaded as part of open processing by another task.
The FLAB for the transaction issuing the API request does not
    set flab_do_not_close or flab_recoverable_work_done off.
This leads to CEMT displaying "Close requested" against the
    file indefinitely.
    Keywords: CFDT

Problem conclusion

  • DFHFCFR has been changed to include the fcfr_reason of
fcfr_loading in its list of reasons to ensure that the
flab fields are set off before exiting the module. Note - this
fix caters for both UMDTs and CFDTs.
