Error description

  • Db2 Admin: ADB7955E message in authorization switching does not
    display valid and invalid SERVER or CPUID
    
    For instance,
    
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: Environment
    validation has failed
    
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: File
    validation has failed
    
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: Severe error
    occurred. Return code to caller= 8
    
    These messages are due to bad SERVER name or bad CPUID name,
    but the messages do not display what the bad SERVER name or bad
    CPUID name is.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: While trying to use authorization       *
    *                      switching, the user received file       *
    *                      validation error messages that did not  *
    *                      include the incorrect validation.       *
    ****************************************************************
    When using authorization switching with the ALT function and
    WSL, the user received the following messages:
    
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching:
    Environment validation has failed
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: File
    validation has failed
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: Severe error
    occurred. Return code to caller= 8
    
    These messages were unclear about which validation failed.
    
    New messages if both SERVER and CPUID were incorrect:
    
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: Environment
    validation has failed.
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: file server:
    RS77DC1Q does not match  ASW header server: RS22DC1Q
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: file CPUID:
    00 2E9778561 does not match ASW header CPUID: 00 2E9688561
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: Please check
    your auth switch settings.
    ADB7955E ADBASW ADBSW08E Authorization Switching: File
    validation has failed.
