OutofMemory caused by Prober storing probe records for all slow client .
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of eXtreme Scale who use near cache * * on * * wxs client. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Customer experienced an OOM on one of * * the * * WXS containers due to prober storing * * records for slow wxs client. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The customer experienced an OutOfMemoryError, and the analysis of the heap dump shows that the primary driver of the heap exhaustion was com.ibm.ws.xs objects. In particular, a ConcurrentHashMap is occupying 2.4GB of the 3GB heap, and it's composed of com.ibm.ws.xs.xio.flowcontrol.server.impl.SlowClientEntry objects, some as large as 142MB. Checking incoming references to the ConcurrentHashMap, shows references from a com.ibm.ws.xs.xio.flowcontrol.server.impl.Prober and a com.ibm.ws.xs.xio.flowcontrol.server.policies.MIMD.
Problem conclusion
WXS Prober code has been updated to fix the memory leak. The fix is available in 8.6.1.5 fix-pack.
