APAR status

Error description

  • When using the Snapshot Viewer tool from the IBM Transformation
Extender 10.0.0 Design Studio, it may be noted that on screen
characters are corrupted / garbled if the user is using the
Japanese locale.

Local fix

  • ITXCQ - ITX00060701
PB / CN
Circumvention: The user can switch to a Western locale and the
characters are displayed correctly.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
IBM Transformation Extender Snapshot Viewer users.

Problem Description:
Snapshot Viewer displays Japanese characters as garbled in the
Snapshot window when the Snapshot file (.mss) is viewed under
Japanese locale.

Platforms Affected:
Windows

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed a problem with Snapshot Viewer where it now shows the
Japanese characters in the Snapshot window properly instead of
showing garbled characters.

Applies to:
9.0.0.4, 10.0.0.0, 10.0.3.0, 10.1.0.0

Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
