APAR status

  • Closed as new function.

Error description

  • With function level 505, rebinding a package with the option
PLANMGMT(EXTENDED) can create phased-out copy which is not used
by a thread in the system but incurs storage in the Db2 catalog
and directory. The phased-out copy may be used when the package
is subsequently executed while rebind is processed. This allows
concurrency between rebind and execution of the same package.
Eventually, the phased-out copy is not used by a thread in the
system but incurs storage in the Db2 catalog and directory.
