Error description

  • When building a project in IBM Application Discovery Build
Client, JMJcl stops or fails compiling some JCLs with Syntax
error: 'error while parsing <path>\<JCL file name>' in IBM
Application Discovery V5.1.0.7 ifix1 with
5.1.0.7_ifix1_TestFixTS004283404.

Local fix

  • Modify the affected JCL code by deleting all the empty lines
prefixed  by '//'.

Problem summary

  • After skipping the empty lines, a line and column index involved
in parsing the file was not updated, which was causing errors
whenever the index was used.  This index is now updated
accordingly.
