Error description

• When using the custom password encryption on WebSphere
  Application Server 8.5.5.18, failures such as
  NullPointerException may occur.
  

Local fix

• Adding the JVM arguments normally associated with enabling
  custom encryption (and making sure that the class is reachable)
  will work around the issue. This assumes you are using the
  default classname for the custom encryption class.
