    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHMN0002 code X'0D0D' in DFHMNAC and *
    *                      DFHXM0306 code X'130C' occurs when      *
    *                      initializing a user transaction.        *
    * This transaction is suspended *
    *                      indefinitely.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    DFHXMAT is called to ATTACH an MRO routed transaction whilst
    there is an active policy bundle containing entry point
    definition for CITS.

    DFHXMAT calls DFHMNAC to set application context data but a
    CICS system transaction does not have an associated data control
    block ( adcb ) and therefore there is nowhere to store
    application context data, resulting in DFHMNAC failing with the
    DFHMN0002 0D0D.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHXMAT has been changed to avoid calling DFHMNAC to set
    application context data when running a system transaction.

    CICS system transactions should not be used as entry points.

    The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.3 V5.4 V5.5 & V5.6
    Knowledge Center will be updated to reflect this.
