Error description

  • The 0C4 in DSNB5BPL occurred because Db2 tried to do castout for
a non-gbp-dependent object and Db2 didn't connect to the GBP of
the object.

ABEND 0C4-00000038 may occurr in DSNIDM .DSNB5BPL OFFSET013C
in the castout process. This is because the Db2 member was not
connected to the group buffer pool and Db2 tried to castout
pages for a non-GBP-dependent object mistakenly. It could
result in the aforementioned abend.

Problem conclusion

  • Db2 code has been fixed to not castout pages for the
non-GBP-dependent objects.
