    In Liberty if 2 or more web modules are running on same
    server, and idReuse=false, useContextRootAsCookiePath=true it
    causes session data loss during failover.

Problem conclusion

  • Session code has been modified to handle idReuse=false,
    useContextRootAsCookiePath=true case during failover. For
    idReuse=false case customer will also have to enable
    useContextRootAsWXSCookiePath="true" in server.xml, The
    default value for it is false.

    example:
    <httpSessionElasticCache enabled="true"
    elasticCacheClientRef="client1" gridName="session1"
    replicationInterval="2" sessionTableSize="25000"
    useContextRootAsWXSCookiePath="true"/>
