Error description

  • After performing some tests, it seems to be an issue related to
JCL compiler. Indeed, on //@SASBSTR.SYSIN DD
DSN=&BASEOS.DATA(BB&BNK.S3601),DISP=SHR line from BB#S365D PROC,
 the &BASEOS symbol is not replaced. The &BNK symbol between the
 parentheses is replaced properly, but not the &BASEOS symbol,
despite the fact that it has the value assigned above. In order
to see the problem, perform 'Dataset Usage in Jobs' analyze.

Problem conclusion: fixed with code changes related to how the
JCL compiler identifies symbols and assigns values to them
                                  (such as in the case of a data
set name coded as a symbolic parameter - e.g. DSN=&xxxxxxxx).
