PH30967: INCORRECT REPORT, UNEXPECTED OUTPUT DDNAME AND POTENTIAL ABEND IF SYSPRINT IS NOT ALLOCATED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the ddname SYSPRINT is not allocated by the
  invoker of Db2 HPU (typically through a SYSPRINT DD statement),
  some or all of the following issues occur:
  - the Db2 HPU report is printed into a dataset allocated to a
  SYS0000n ddname
  - the messages of the report are not well formatted
  - some messages are missing from the Db2 HPU report.
  - if the QUIESCE of the unloaded table spaces is requested, the
  Db2 HPU step terminates in an ABEND.
  

Local fix

• allocate the SYSPRINT ddname.
