Error description

  • An EXEC CICS INVOKE SERVICE returns an INVREQ , RESP(16)
RESP2(6) and Server Fault string 'DFHWSADH error detected'.
An AUX trace showed there was an ADDRESSING_EXCEPTION.

Trace entry as follows, and a SOAPFAULT.

    PI 1F05 PIA1 *EXC* - ADDRESSING_EXCEPTION
    '
Error at offset +0001044 in document body.

CICS WS-Addressing code was processing the SOAP message in
    EBCDIC (1047).
The code is only interested in the WS-Addressing headers,
but the parsing process being used means that the entire
message gets parsed.  When these numeric references are
encountered they are converted from UTF-8 to 1047.
The reference that fails is for a character that does not exist
    in 1047.
The problematic numeric references are outside of any elements
that WS-Addressing code would be interested in so they should be
    ignored.

    ****************************************************************
A web service, configured to use WS-Addressing, is called and
the data contains a UTF-16 character. CICS parses the entire
message to process the WS-Addressing information and encounters
the UTF-16 character. Data in this code page is not handled
correctly resulting in a SOAP fault with message "DFHWSADH error
    detected".

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPIA1 has been updated to ensure the XML can be parsed
    correctly.
