PH30078: UNNECESSARY OBJECTS ARE PROCESSED DURING THE REDIRECTED RECOVERY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Additional objects may be implicitly included in the recovery
  scope as indirect dependencies of objects explicitly selected
  for recovery (e.g. recovered view based on several tables).
  If such additional objects do not exist during the recovery,
  they need to be created to avoid SQL errors during the DDL
  execution. But no other actions need to be performed for such
  objects.
  During the redirected recovery, unnecessary JCL steps (including
  STOP and START) were generated for such implicitly selected
  objects. If no translation masks were specified that may be
  applied to such objects, source object names were used in the
  JCL steps. Incorrect REDIRECTED_RECOVERY steps with empty GROUP
  statement may be also generated for such scenarios.

• Any related objects that should not be recovered, may
  be explicitly added to application profiles as "excluded".
