    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The load balancer may not save the crossport affinity
to a configuration file or it may be saved incorrectly.

Problem conclusion

  • The crossport affinity port attribute must be defined when the
port is added to the load balanacer and the port defined for
crossport affinity must already be defined.

-Crossport setting is not saved with the selection algorithm
    "conn+affin".
-When the attribute is saved, it is saved on both ports
leading to a syntax error when the saved configuration is
    loaded.
-Saved as a "port set" command when the stickybits port
attribute is also set which causes a syntax error when the
    saved configuration is loaded.

Code has been corrected to save crossport correctly.

    Fix levels:
       8.5.5.19
       9.0.5.6

Temporary fix

  • Edit the load balancer configuration and correct the commands
    when necessary.
    Example:
    dscontrol port add <cluster>@<port1> selectionalgorithm
    conn+affin stickytime 300
    dscontrol port add <cluster>@<port2> selectionalgorithm
    conn+affin stickytime 300 crossport <port1>
