Error description
After applying maintenance to the CICS environment, the Liberty JVM was recycled. It failed to initialize leaving the CICS BUNDLES in a DISABLE'd state. When the bundle fails to install, it receives a CWWKZ0404E message indicating an exception occurred when trying to install the bundle. This issue only occurs when installing EBA bundles. . Here is what the messages look like in messages.log: CWWKZ0018I: Starting application bundle1. . CWWKZ0404E: An exception was generated when trying to resolve the contents of the application bundle1.app. The exception text from the OSGi framework is: Unable to resolve IFileAdapter wrapping file with url wsjar:file:/products_shared /cicsts/java/work/CICSREG/DFHWLP/wlp/usr/servers/defaultServer/ installedApps/bundle1.app.eba!/bundle1_1.0.0.jar: missing requirement org.apache.aries.subsystem.core.archive. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: EBA application fails to start when * * a Liberty JVMSERVER is restarted and * * CWWKZ0404E is issued. * **************************************************************** An EBA application is installed into a Liberty JVMSERVER. The EBA application imports packages from a Bundle Repository defined in server.xml. Depending on timing it is possible that the EBA application will be started before the Bundle Repository has initialised. This causes the EBA application to fail to start with message CWWKZ0404E being issued. If the EBA application was installed using a CICS BUNDLE the BUNDLE will go into a Disabled state with DFHSJ1107 issued. Keywords: msgDFHSJ1107 SJ1107
