Error description
When the IBM ClearCase MVFS loads, it reads various system, registry keys, among them HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManServe r\Shares" If any of the registry values in that key contain "unusual" amounts of data, the MVFS is unable to read the data and exits.
Local fix
None other than to remove/reduce the number of shares on the host and/or simplify the share options. This is generally not a good option on Windows Server hosts.
