PH27808: NO SYNTAX WARNING IN THE IDZ JCL EDITOR FOR STATEMENT FIELDS SPECIFIED IN LOWER CASE THAT MUST BE IN UPPER CASE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz), v14.2.2 using the JCL editor,
  if the JCL statement contains fields in lower case that must be
  specified in upper case, no syntax warning is issued. For
  example, if the JCL statement contains  lower case "shr" as the
  disposition parameter value (DISP=shr),  the JCL editor does not
  display any syntax warning.
  

Local fix

• In the JCL editor convert the lower case fields to upper case,
  or use the zSystems LPEX editor to edit the JCL.
  

Problem summary

• lower case disposition status "shr" has not been marked as error
  

Problem conclusion

• Handled all the disposition statuses NEW, OLD, SHR, MOD, DELETE,
   KEEP, PASS, CATLG, UNCATLG to see if they are capitalized. If
  not, mark as error
