Error description
We are using the IDAA HLV (Advanced Loader) product to load data from SMF datasets into IDAA. We are trying to use a SELECT statement with UNION to load the data from all 4 datasets into IDAA. There are two problems with this: 1. If the first dataset doesn't have any rows, it does not continue on to the next dataset. Instead it loads 0 rows and stops. 2. If I remove the first select statement that had 0 rows and just union the 3 datasets that have data, the job receives a S0C3. Again no rows are loaded. 3. If I break the job up so that it actually has 4 load steps it works. The first step will select from dataset 1 and load 0 rows (it actually said it loaded 10 rows but this isn't true, so something must not be getting cleared out), the second step will select from dataset 2 and load the rows, the third step will load from dataset 3 and the load the rows, and finally the 4th step will select from the dataset 4 and load the rows. Why is the UNION behaving this way so that I'm forced to load in four different steps? I do believe the syntax is correct because I have another job where I'm using the union and it works.
