Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: AICJ abend in module DFHAPIC due to * * insufficient storage. * **************************************************************** CICS becomes under stress and low on storage. An EXEC CICS START command is issued. DFHSMK7 issues a GETMAIN with SUSPEND(NO) option set. The GETMAIN fails with INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE and results in an abend AICJ in DFHAPIC. ADDITIONAL KEYWORDS: DFHSMK7 abendAICJ DFHAPIC ICUS
Problem conclusion
The GETMAIN within module DFHSMK7 has been updated to SUSPEND(YES). An EXEC CICS START command issued when CICS is under stress will wait for the storage to become available and carry on instead of abending.
