Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS HALDB Toolkit V1.1. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Pointer error messages(FABP1097E or *
    * other error messages) can be issued *
    * after running MAINTAIN when REORGV is *
    * specified in the RECON data sets. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
MAINTAIN sets NOREORGV in the temporary RECON data sets even if
REORGV is set in the RECON data sets.
MAINTAIN updates REORG# of DBDS and RECON internally after
reloading a database when REORGV is set in the RECON.
The processes had worked well until PH10937.
After PH10937, MAINTAIN lets IMS HP Load initialize the
    partitions instead of DFSUPNT0.
The REORG# of DBDS can be unexpected when IMS HP Load
initializes the partitions, NOREORGV is set in the temporary
RECON and a high key of each partition is changed. This
unexpected REORG# causes the pointer error messages.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been changed to set REORGV in the temporary RECON data
sets when REORGV is set in the RECON data sets to avoid the
    errors.
