PH26947: HBRCRETRY CAN FAIL TO FUNCTION WHEN THE CICS LINK TO LIBERTY APPLICATION DOES NOT BECOME AVAILABLE QUICKLY ENOUGH.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• HBRC  can fail when the CICS Link call times out.
  
  To address this we have added reconnection attempts for
  a response of wsresp=PGMIDERR and wsresp2=27 from the CICS link
  call.
  
  Also the logging and tracing has been improived around this
  area..

  *                      seconds instead of 5 minutes.           *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this fix if you need to use the        *
  *                 HBRCRETRY property with a Rule               *
  *                 Execution Server running in a CICS           *
  *                 Link to Liberty JVM                          *

  HBRCRETRY is set to yes but CICS fails to connect
  to a RES in a Link to Liberty JVM at startup.
  

Problem conclusion

• after applying this fix the timeout will change down from
  5 minutes to 60 seconds, however the retry will cover
  all potential failure cases.
