• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The beanmanager is currently not cached.  The lack of a cache
  for these objects is causing a measurable performance impact
  between JAXRS 1.1 and JAXRS 2.0 in WebSphere Application
  Server V9.

  The IBM performance team identified a sizable performance hit
  to JAXRS 2.0 applications when migrating from JAXRS 1.1.
  Investigation discovered that BeanManager objects were not
  being cached/reused and this contributed significantly to
  the observed performance hit.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code was changed to cache and reuse the BeanManager
  objects.  This change was tested and verified by the IBM
  WebSphere Application Server performance team.
  
  The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
