PH25023: CONTINUOUS COLLECTOR NOT ISSUING COMMITS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Continuous Collector is not setting the initial time
  correctly for the timer loop when COLLECT AFTER 1 MINUTES
  is requested and the start time for the collect is 8, 18, 28,
  38, 48 or 58 minutes past the hour.

  *                      HAS WRITTEN 2250000 LOG RECORDS         *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

  This problem only occurs when the Continuous Collector has set
  COMMIT AFTER 1 MINUTES and the collect happens to start on a
  a time boundary where the minutes end in an 8, eg 28, 38 etc.
  In which case the timer is set incorrectly.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code is changed to set the timer correctly with
  COMMIT AFTER 1 MINUTES when the collect happens to start on a
  a time boundary where the minutes end in an 8, eg 28, 38 etc.
