  • ejbdeploy is deprecated. When running the ejbdeploy, a
deprecated message should show up to let users know.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users does not notice that EJBDeploy    *
*                      has been deprecated since 8.5.5.14      *
*                      and 9.0.0.8.                            *

There is no problem for the ejbdeploy command or installing
application with "Deploy enterprise beans" option. Users may
not aware that Session beans and message-driven beans no
longer require the ejbdeploy command, and ejbdeploy was
deprecated.

Problem conclusion

  • A deprecated warning message will be shown when running the
ejbdeploy command or installing application with "Deploy
enterprise beans" option.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
8.5.5.18 and 9.0.5.5. For more information, see 'Recommended
