Error description

  • APAR PH05460 added warning message WSVR0661W. In this case,
the server was switched from the default MyFaces JSF
implementation to the SunRI implementation - enabling SunRI
disables the core Java EE JSF bundle (javax.j2ee.jsf.jar), and
javax.j2ee.compatibility.jar relies on that bundle in order to
resolve. The diag log file for WSVR0661W contains:

    websphere@plugins/javax.j2ee.compatibility.jar [233]
     Direct constraints which are unresolved:
      Missing required bundle javax.j2ee.jsf_0.0.0.

This does not cause an issue since javax.j2ee.jsf_0.0.0 isn't
used since the server is using SunRI instead. The warning
message can be ignore in this case if the application isn't
    seeing a functional issue.

    ****************************************************************
When WebSphere is configured to use JSF SunRI 1.2 the MyFaces
JSF Implementation is disabled, causing a bundle resolution
issue within the javax.j2ee.compatibility bundle. é á Changes
introduced in 8.5.5.16 via PH05460 enable new diagnostic
messages when OSGI bundles cannot be resolved by the server,
and so a new WSVR0661W message is emitted due to the
    resolution issue.SystemOut.log contains the following
    message:
WSVR0661W: Some bundles failed to resolve during the
    <server-name> server
    startup.<profile_home>/servers/<myServer>/configuration/diag-
    <ti
    mestamp>.log contains the following message:
    - websphere@plugins/javax.j2ee.compatibility.jar é á Direct
    constraints which are unresolved: é á é á é á Missing required b
javax.j2ee.jsf_0.0.0.Note that this particular message is
benign, and should not affect the functionality of the
    customer's application.
