APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a measurement for a batch job starts, the APA STC will
retrieve the job JCL from the JESJCLIN spool file. If the
customer RACF protects JES spool files via the JESSPOOL class,
the APA STC will get a RACF violation and a possible abend.

Local fix

  • The immediate workaround is to permit the APA STC userid access
to the JESSPOOL class profiles

When a measurement for a batch job starts after applying PTF
UI68281 (v14.2.2), the APA STC will retrieve the job JCL from
the JESJCLIN spool file. The presence of JESSPOOL class security
profiles might cause the APA STC to get a RACF violation and a
possible abend.

Problem conclusion

  • Disabled the JCL capture feature
