Error description

• Using the AD Build Client to retrieve source codes from zOS
  using the Application Discovery Agent for the first time in a
  project takes 10 minutes
  for the Build Client show the message "Response from server
  received." and start downloading the codes.
  The sample log below shows the gap between the initial message
  and the response received:
  [13/02/2020  11:01]  Send request to server.
  [13/02/2020  11:11]  Response from server received.

Problem conclusion

• According to the dump from the customer site, the AD Connect
  started task was in a wait state.  It had issued the MVS
  operator command DISPLAY M to retrieve system configuration
  information, and was waiting for z/OS to post the ECB to
  indicate that the reply was available.  Nothing in the dump
  indicated the reason for the delay in having the ECB posted.
  We tried to re-create the condition on our test system, as well
  as on another z/OS system running JES3, but we were not
  successful.
  We recommend that the DISPLAY M command be made an optional
  part of any AD project.  The command does not retrieve any
  information that is relevant to an application.
  We should consider adding a timer to end the AD Connect subtask
  waiting on the reply if the ECB is never posted.
