Error description

  • When retrieving source information from Changeman XML, member
names that contain characters outside the standard ASCII range
0-127 can cause parsing errors in the AD Build Client XML
 parser.

Problem summary


    

  • The Changeman reply subroutines in AD Connect for Mainframe were
 modified to insert the following XML encoding attribute into
the XML reply:
ENCODING="ISO-8859-1"?

This allows the XML parser on AD Build Client to correctly parse
the reply.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This change was first provided in PTF PH23458 , and then later
made part of AD Connect for Mainframe v5107 ( PTF UI70062 ) and
all later versions.
